Migrar por la ciudad. Análisis de La Virgen de los sicarios

Resumen

Como sujeto social, el sicario ha sido retratado en los últimos veinticinco años por una serie de novelas y libros testimoniales que se ocupan de la relación narcotráfico-violencia urbana. El artículo presenta en una primera parte un bosquejo de las obras narrativas colombianas que han representando al sicario, para luego volver sobre la novela La Virgen de los sicarios, del escritor antioqueño Fernando Vallejo, y analizarla de acuerdo con las categorías de “heterogeneidad” y “sujeto migrante”.

Migrating in the city. Analysis of La Virgen de los Sicarios

Abstract

As a social subject, the sicario has been portrayed in the last twenty-five years by a series of testimonial novels and books which deal with the relationship between drug traffic and violence. The article firstly offers a panoramic of the Colombian narrative works that have presented the sicario, to then go to the novel “La Virgen de los sicarios” by Fernando Vallejo, which is analyzed by applying the categories “heterogeneity” and “migrant subject.”
